MEET TODAY’S GUEST
Vanessa Gangewere
Vital Relief LLC opened in August 2025. Vanessa, a licensed massage therapist, created the business after her own journey with chronic pain led her to discover how transformative quality therapeutic massage can be.

“I refused to keep living in pain,” she shared. “Once I realized massage wasn’t just a luxury — it could genuinely change someone’s quality of life — I knew I had to share that with others.”
THE INTERVIEW
A Personalized, Results-Focused Approach
Vital Relief offers a range of services including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point release, and myofascial release. However, the most requested modalities right now are neuromuscular therapy and prenatal massage.
Neuromuscular therapy combines elements of sports massage, deep tissue, trigger point work, myofascial release, and stretching. Vanessa tailors every session to the client’s specific needs rather than sticking to one rigid modality.
Her prenatal massage follows a similar philosophy: using prenatal techniques as the foundation while incorporating other methods as needed. “Pregnant people with healthy pregnancies aren’t as fragile as society makes them out to be,” she explained. “They often just want relief from the same aches and pains as anyone else.”

What Sets Vital Relief Apart
What truly distinguishes Vital Relief is the individual attention and customization. Clients aren’t rushed or forced into a one-size-fits-all treatment.
“I will never ask my clients to just pick one modality and then tell them they’re committed to it for the next 90 minutes,” Vanessa shared. “Everyone is different, with different needs, even from session to session.”
The studio also prioritizes creating a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all clients.
Community Response
Most of Vanessa’s clients come from Allegheny, Butler, and Beaver counties. Many seek her out specifically for help with long-standing issues like neck pain, low back pain, restricted range of motion, or plantar fasciitis.
One of the most rewarding parts of the job, she says, is watching clients who have lived with pain for years start regaining mobility and relief.
“Sometimes they even cry because they really didn’t think they could feel better,” she said.

A Message for Cranberry Township
Vanessa wants more locals to understand that massage isn’t just a luxury — it’s healthcare.
“Massage can help prevent the need for hip or knee replacements, frozen shoulders, nerve damage, and lifelong chronic pain. Relief from pain and stress isn’t a luxury, it’s a vital part of living a balanced, fulfilling life.”
Looking Ahead in 2026
Vital Relief is expanding its offerings with monthly workshops (starting in April with “Travel the Senses” — aromatherapy, meditation, light yoga, sound energy, and massage) and group + one-on-one reiki sessions led by Julie Van Kirk.
Mother’s Day specials will also be available on select massage services.
