Melissa’s journey into esthetics began with her own long battle with acne that lasted from adolescence into adulthood. Frustrated by misinformation, she dedicated herself to learning what truly works. That personal experience now drives her focus on acne treatment and anti-aging skincare at Stellar Esthetics.

“I chose to specialize in acne because that’s what led me to my career,” she shared. “I love spreading knowledge about what actually works.”

The most requested treatments at Stellar Esthetics are dermaplaning and Melissa’s signature facial. Lash lifts and tints are also very popular, rounding out the top three.

Melissa stands out by truly listening to her clients and educating them throughout the process. Rather than pushing products, she offers honest recommendations and creates a safe, judgment-free space.

“The at-home care is just as important as what we do in the treatment room,” she explained. “I can only do so much in one session — consistent care at home makes all the difference.”

For the past year, Stellar Esthetics has been located inside Flourish Hair Studio. Owner Sam has been incredibly supportive, first allowing Melissa to use the space when she wasn’t there, and later helping her expand into the studio next door.

“Sam has been an absolute angel,” Melissa said. “Our partnership has been monumental to my success, and I will be forever grateful.”

Melissa sees clients from Cranberry Township, Wexford, Mars, Grove City, and beyond. One of her proudest moments came when she helped a longtime friend clear severe fungal acne in about a month using a targeted regimen.

“She went from being embarrassed about her skin to absolutely radiating, confident enough to go makeup-free,” Melissa recalled. “Moments like that never get old.”

Melissa says her favorite moment is seeing the transformation at the end of a facial.

“I always joke that I get more excited than my clients do,” she laughed. “When they look in the mirror and say ‘OMG my face is glowing!’ — I will never get tired of that.”

Melissa wishes more people knew how much regular professional facials can improve skin quality. She recommends coming in at least quarterly (monthly is ideal when budget allows) and staying consistent with at-home care.

“We can tell when you’re not keeping up with your routine,” she said with a smile. “We don’t judge — we just want to help you get the results you’re looking for.”

Her Go-To Skincare Rule:

“Never go to bed without washing your face and change your pillowcase no less than once a week.”
