Shawnli Dunlevy
Located in Cranberry Township, Revenant Hair Studio is intentionally designed as a quieter, more focused alternative to the fast-paced salon experience. Shawnli created the studio because she was tired of the “assembly-line” model — rushed appointments, noisy environments, and prioritizing volume over results.
“I wanted a space that’s calm, intentional, and respectful,” she shared. “Somewhere clients can come in, not feel rushed or overlooked, and actually trust that the work is going to be done properly.”
THE INTERVIEW
A Focus on Quality and Natural Results
Revenant Hair Studio specializes in lived-in color, dimensional blonding, and precision haircuts. Shawnli works with a wide range of clients, from long layered cuts to clipper cuts and fades and extensions for those wanting added length or density.
The emphasis is always on results that look natural, wearable, and healthy. “It’s not one lane,” she explained. “Every client is different, and the goal is to give them something that actually makes sense for them.”
What Sets Revenant Hair Studio Apart
What truly distinguishes Revenant is the experience. As a solo stylist, Shawnli doesn’t pass clients around or double-book in a chaotic way. Appointments are controlled and intentional.
Clients often comment on how calm and approachable the space feels — the opposite of loud, high-pressure salons. “Not everyone wants forced conversation or a chaotic environment,” Shawnli said. “Some people just want to come in, get great hair, and exist in peace — and that’s respected here.”
Community Response
Since opening, most of Revenant’s clientele has come through word-of-mouth and people specifically looking for a different kind of salon experience. Shawnli is happy with that pace.
The most rewarding moments, she says, are the hair corrections — taking someone from a bad experience and giving them hair they finally feel good about again.
Looking Ahead to 2026
Revenant Hair Studio will celebrate its one-year anniversary this June. Shawnli has no plans for big specials or discounts, choosing instead to focus on consistency and quality.
A Message for Cranberry Township
Shawnli wants locals to know that good hair work takes time — and it should last.
“When things are done correctly, your hair should grow out well, stay healthy, and not need constant fixing. There’s a noticeable difference, and once people experience it, they get it.”
