MEET TODAY’S GUEST
The Team at Petagogy
Petagogy specializes in natural and healthy pet products including premium food, treats, supplements, and toys. Their Cranberry location is unique as the only store offering full-service grooming, along with monthly nail trim clinics available at all locations.

“The ability to serve the people and pets in the community on a more personal level is what matters most to us.”
THE INTERVIEW
What Makes Petagogy Stand Out
Petagogy first opened in Pittsburgh’s Shadyside neighborhood in 2011. The idea was born when four friends (two couples) got dogs and couldn’t find truly natural pet products anywhere in the city. They later opened a second store in Greensburg in 2016. In early 2025, they acquired the former Healthy Pet Products stores — including the location in Cranberry Township — and proudly rebranded it as Petagogy in the summer of 2025.
Unlike big chain stores, Petagogy focuses on quality over quantity. Their team is made up of passionate pet lovers who carefully select every product they carry.
“We pride ourselves on being able to provide nothing but the best for our customers,” the team shared.
Cranberry pet parents especially appreciate the large selection of raw pet foods and natural options. Many customers come in already knowledgeable about better nutrition and are thrilled to find so many healthy choices in one place.

Strong Local Support
Even though they’ve only been operating the Cranberry location since January 2025, the response from the community has been wonderful.
“We’ve loved getting to know the customers in this area,” the team said. “Pet parents here are very knowledgeable and always seek the healthiest choices for their pets.”
The store has also been introducing longtime Petagogy traditions to Cranberry, including their famous Pet Photos with Santa (now in its 16th year). Many customers are even former city shoppers who moved to the suburbs and are excited to shop with Petagogy again.

Favorite Part of Running Petagogy
The team’s favorite part is building long-term relationships with local families.
“We love getting to know the people in our community,” they shared. “We’ve seen original pets grow old and new ones be adopted. Now with our new locations, we’re even reconnecting with old customers who used to shop with us in the city but moved to the suburbs.”

Looking Ahead in 2026
Petagogy is celebrating its 15th year in business with several exciting perks for customers:
Free Paws Club loyalty program (earn $10 off coupons and free products)
Special sales on the 15th of every month for the rest of the year
Annual Pawty Days events
Their name “Petagogy” is a play on the word “pedagogy” — the art of teaching. Their mission is to learn about the best natural pet products and pass that knowledge on to every customer.
