Based in the Wexford/Cranberry area, Nail’d It PGH creates beautiful, hand-painted custom press-on nails that deliver that polished, fun look with way more flexibility for real life. Taylor launched her Etsy shop in the summer of 2025, turning her lifelong love of creativity and attention to detail into a business that brings joy (and gorgeous nails) to local customers.

“I’ve always loved paying attention to details and making things that bring people joy. Press-on nails let me do that in a way that feels both artistic and practical.”
THE INTERVIEW
What Makes Nail’d It PGH Stand Out
Before starting Nail’d It PGH, Taylor spent nearly eight years as a preschool teacher. While she loved working with little ones, she craved a creative outlet where she could work with her hands and make something special. Press-on nails turned out to be the perfect fit.
Taylor’s sets are fully custom — customers send inspiration photos or describe the vibe they want, and she hand-paints each set to match. She uses high-quality Apres Gel-X tips and sizes them carefully (often using photos from the customer) so the fit feels truly made-to-order.
Every order comes with an application kit and clear instructions, making it easy to get salon results from the comfort of home. Popular designs include seasonal looks, wedding nails, vacation sets, and party-ready styles. Many customers also love reaching out via Instagram DMs for truly personal custom orders.
What sets her apart most is the personal touch: “I want it to feel like you’re getting something made specifically for you, not just ordering something generic.”

Strong Local Support
Since launching, Taylor has been overwhelmed by the support from the Cranberry, Wexford, and North Hills community.
“The local community has been so incredibly supportive,” she said. “People shop with me, share my work, come back for more sets, and recommend me to friends. It means the world when you’re a small business.”
She especially enjoys local pop-ups, where she gets to meet customers in person, talk through design ideas, and help with sizing. Those face-to-face connections have quickly become some of her favorite moments.

Taylor’s Favorite Part
When asked what she loves most about running Nail’d It PGH, Taylor didn’t hesitate:
“Getting to be creative while making something that helps people feel good. I love taking someone’s idea and turning it into a set that feels fun, personal, and wearable. It’s the best feeling when someone tells me they loved their nails or felt confident wearing them for a special event.”

Looking Ahead in 2026
Taylor has lots of exciting plans for the year ahead, including more seasonal collections, ready-to-wear sets, and plenty of fresh custom options. She’ll also continue doing local pop-ups so Cranberry-area customers can shop in person and see the nails up close.
Her simple motto captures it all:
“Custom press-on nails made with love in PGH.”
