MEET TODAY’S GUEST

Hannah Bussa

Little Bear Play Cafe opened in Cranberry Township in September 2025. Designed specifically for babies, toddlers, and young children, it pairs an engaging play space with a cozy area for parents to sit back and actually enjoy their time.

“We wanted a place where kids could play creatively and safely, while parents could relax and take a moment for themselves.”

THE INTERVIEW

A Space Built by Parents, for Parents

Little Bear Play Cafe features a large jungle gym and ball pit that kids love, along with plenty of room for creative and imaginative play. The space is intentionally designed to feel safe, clean, and thoughtfully laid out.

What truly sets Little Bear apart is that it’s a family-owned business built by parents who understand what families actually need. “We wanted a place where kids could play creatively and safely, while parents could relax and take a moment for themselves,” Hannah shared.

Popular Offerings

Open play sessions and birthday parties are currently the most popular. Families especially love that birthday parties are private at no extra cost, and the team handles the space setup and even provides food and drinks for the kids, making it easy and affordable for parents.

Community Response

Since opening, the response from Cranberry families has been incredibly positive. Many families have made Little Bear part of their regular routine, and Hannah appreciates the feedback from local moms on what they’d like to see added or improved.

One of her favorite parts of running the cafe is simply watching families enjoy their time together — kids using their imagination while parents get to relax and connect with other families.

What’s Coming in 2026

The team is especially excited about launching their new “Be Your Own Bear-ista” experience. Kids will get to step into a fun, hands-on role and create their own cafe-style treats — adding a creative, memorable twist beyond traditional play.

They’ll also continue adding new equipment and activities to keep each visit feeling fresh.

A Message for Cranberry Parents

Hannah wants more local parents to know this:

“Most parents understand how valuable screen-free play is for young children, but spaces like this are also incredibly important for parents themselves. Having a safe, welcoming place where you can take a breath, enjoy a snack, and connect with other parents in the same stage of life can make a real difference for your mental well-being.”

Their simple goal for every family that walks through the door:

“Make it a good day.”
