MEET TODAY’S GUEST

Lori Korn

After teaching for ten years at Taylor & Company, owner Lori Korn took over the studio when the previous owner was ready for her next chapter.

Located at 20630 Route 19, Suite 102 in Cranberry Township, For the Love of Dance was built on a simple but powerful belief: dance is for everyone.

“Dance classes help young dancers build coordination, confidence, and social skills — but what’s often overlooked is the mental health benefit for teens and pre-teens. In a time when stress and social pressures are high, dance offers a healthy outlet for expression and emotional release.”

THE INTERVIEW

A Studio with Heart

From the very beginning, the studio has focused on creating a positive, welcoming environment where students of all ages, abilities, and experience levels feel supported. Their mission is clear — dance should bring joy, not pressure.

This season, classes across all ages and styles are full, with particular excitement around their growing Next Steps program. Designed for first-time or continuing dancers ages 9 and up, this program helps older beginners realize it’s never “too late” to discover a passion for dance.

What Sets Them Apart

For the Love of Dance stands out because of its inclusive, encouraging atmosphere. Whether a student is a beginner or advanced, competitive or recreational, young or older, they’re met with support and community.

“Our dancers share their love of dance with one another, encouraging each other along the way,” Lori shared. “It’s truly something special.”

The studio draws students from across Butler, Lawrence, and Allegheny counties. They’ve already created memorable experiences in their first year, including free community classes for National Dance Day and their first “Sweet Celebration” — a student showcase with a dessert bar and dance party that brought families onto the floor together.

Most recently, their company dancers performed at a Pittsburgh Penguins home game, lighting up the jumbotron.

Looking Ahead to 2026

This June, the studio will present its very first recital — Chapter ONE — at Riverside High School on June 17th & 18th at 6:00 PM. They’re also excited for their annual Summer Intensive (July 27–30), bringing in guest instructors Miranda Schry, Elijah Anderson, and Emily Stoken.

Summer camps for all ages and levels will follow, with registration opening April 1st.

A Message for Cranberry Families

Lori wants local families to know this:

“Dance classes help young dancers build coordination, confidence, and social skills — but what’s often overlooked is the mental health benefit for teens and pre-teens. In a time when stress and social pressures are high, dance offers a healthy outlet for expression and emotional release.”

Their studio motto says it best:

“Dance is for everyone!”
