MEET TODAY’S GUEST
Lily Clifton
Beauty By Lilybug officially opened in November 2025 inside Phenix Salon Suites. Lily is a licensed esthetician and makeup artist who combines professional skincare with a passion for helping clients feel confident in their own skin. After years of her own struggle with acne, she’s made it her mission to guide others toward clearer skin and greater self-confidence.

“My favorite part of being an esthetician is definitely the connections we make! When I build that trust with a client, not only do I get to see the progress we make in treating skin concerns, but I also get to witness blossoming confidence!”
THE INTERVIEW
What Inspired Beauty By Lilybug
Lily has always loved the beauty industry, but her journey deepened in high school while dealing with acne. After graduating from Douglas Education Center in 2022 for esthetics, she moved to Fort Lauderdale to attend Cosmix School of Makeup Artistry.
When she returned to Pittsburgh, she knew she wanted to offer the best of both worlds: helping people achieve clear, healthy skin while using makeup to enhance their natural beauty.

Becoming a Certified Face Reality Acne Expert
Lily decided to pursue specialized training as a Face Reality Acne Expert because of her own long-term struggle with acne. The Face Reality Clear Skin Method stands out because it looks at the whole picture — not just the skin on the day of treatment.
During the first appointment, Lily discusses lifestyle, diet, how skin reacts to products, and creates a fully customized plan that goes far beyond traditional facials.
Popular Services
Her most requested services right now are the Signature Facial and Lash Lifts. The Signature Facial is completely customized based on an in-depth skin analysis, so each client receives exactly what their skin needs that day. Clients also love her lash lifts for beautiful, natural-looking results.

What Sets Beauty By Lilybug Apart
Lily works with premium product lines like Circadia and Face Reality — brands known for high-quality, results-driven formulas and strong support for small businesses. She especially appreciates their focus on continued education, which allows her to better educate clients so they feel confident in their skincare journey.
Every treatment is personalized because, as Lily says, “skincare is not a one-size-fits-all situation.”
Favorite Part of Being an Esthetician
For Lily, the best part is building real connections with clients. When trust is established, she gets to celebrate their skin transformations and watch their confidence blossom.

Looking Ahead
This summer, Beauty By Lilybug is introducing Back Facials just in time for warmer weather. Starting in June 2026, Lily will also add microdermabrasion to the menu — available as an upgrade to Signature Facials or as its own express service.
She is currently working toward her Level 2 Oncology Certification through Circadia as well.
